  •         Using a Spray Bottle, mix ¼ Cup White Vinegar, 2 Cups Water, and 10 Drops of Peppermint or Eucalyptus Oil. Spray Mixture under doorways, and outside. This mixture helps covering up Ants’ scent trails.
  •        Using a Spray Bottle, mix Black/Cayenne Pepper and Water. Spray Mixture at all entry points of home.
  •        Fresh Mint. Plant Fresh Mint within Flower Beds to deter Ants.

  •        Cornmeal. Ants enjoy cornmeal but cannot digest it. Place small piles of Cornmeal in areas where Ants are prevalent. The pests will take the substance back to their colony for consumption.

1.      1. Baking Soda and Onion

a.       Dice a handful of onion.

b.      Sprinkle the diced onion over the Baking Soda.

c.       Place mixture in areas Roaches frequent in your home.

a.       Pour Bleach down your Drains.

1.      Onion

a.       Slice an Onion and add the onion slices to a bowl of water.

b.      Place the Bowl(s) in problem areas of the home.

2.      Peppermint Oil

a.       Using a Spray Bottle, mix 10 Drops of Peppermint Oil and 16oz of Water.

b.      Spray mixture in problem areas of the home. 

FLEAS

One Method for Trapping Fleas

1.      Using a Bowl, mix Water and Dish Soap.

2.      Place the bowl(s) in areas where you believe they are most active.

3.      Refresh the mixture daily for best results.

4.      We recommend trying this remedy at night when Fleas are nocturnal.

Do you have an Outdoor Firepit? Add fresh Rosemary or Sage to the Wood or Coals as a repellent.

LADYBUGS

Cloves are a great repellent for Ladybugs, as these pests do not like strong smells.

1.      Place a few bags of Cloves, or Sprinkle Clove Oil in the infested areas of the home.

2.      Please remember to vacuum or sweep up the used cloves. 

BED BUGS

This remedy is for temporary relief. Treatment for Bed Bugs requires professional service. Do not use over the counter products, it will cause pesticide resistance.

  •          Pour 90% Rubbing Alcohol in a Spray Bottle.
  • Spray Mattress, Box Spring and Furniture. Allow to Air Dry. 
ESSENTIAL OILS

ESSENTIAL OILS

Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, and Clove Oils are good oils to help repel general pests.

1.      Using a Spray Bottle, mix Oil of choice and Water.

2.      Spray the mixture onto the baseboards, in problem areas.

3.      Mixture can also be used as a Mist on furniture and linens. Please allow the spray to Air Dry.     

*Peppermint Oil is not only a good repellent for Ants and Spiders; Peppermint repels other pests, to include Beetles, Caterpillars, Fleas, Flies, Lice, Moths, Aphids and Mice.   

Here are Three Ways to effectively apply this Oil:

  •          Soak Cotton Balls in the Oil. Hide the cotton balls where pests are active.
  •          Apply the Oil directly to the affected areas.
  •  Diluting the Oil with Water. Mix 10 Drops of Peppermint Oil with 16oz of Water. Spray the perimeter of the problem areas. 
VINEGAR

1.      To Repel General Pests - Using a Spray Bottle, mix Half Apple Cider Vinegar and Half Water. Spray mixture along the baseboards within your home. Reapply as needed.

2.      To Trap Drain Flies/Fruit Flies/Gnats – In small cups or bowls, pour small dosages of Apple Cider Vinegar. Cover with Plastic Wrap, and punch tiny holes in the plastic. Place the cups/bowls in problematic areas to attract the flies.

Many general pests do not like the Smell of Coffee Grounds.

1.      Use your leftover coffee grounds, place them in areas on the exterior of your home where you believe pests are entering.

2.      You may also use coffee grounds in your garden.

Basil is a great source to deter Flies.

1.      Plant a pot of Sweet Basil in a Sunny Area near a frequently used Entry Door.
